We believe that just as an individual's core values shape the course of his or her life, so do the business principles and values of an organization determine its destiny. At VR Mergers & Acquisitions, Hawaii, we are committed to upholding the following ten Business Principles in everything that we do:

1. Clients First. Our clients' interests always come before ours. Always. If we serve our clients well, our success will follow.
2. Honesty & Integrity. Through the sale or acquisition of a business, our clients are making life changing business decisions. Trust is fundamental in this process, and the highest standards of honesty and integrity are the foundation upon which this trust is built. Our reputation is our most precious asset. We are committed to maintaining the highest possible levels of integrity in all aspects of our business. We will comply with the letter and spirit of all relevant laws and regulations, and continually strive to exceed established ethical standards governing our business, including the rigorous code of ethics of the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA).
3. Quality & Professionalism. More than half of a typical business owner's net worth lies in his or her business. Any work involving such a valuable asset demands the highest level of quality and professionalism, from the initial meeting with each client to long after any transactions are completed.
4. Service. We are passionately committed to 100% client satisfaction. Our research has shown that responsive, empathetic and professional service is the critical driver of client satisfaction. We seek first to fully understand each of our clients' unique needs, bend over backwards to meet those needs, systematically monitor results and continually improve our performance.
5. People. Our people are our most valuable assets. We recruit only exceptionally qualified candidates with the highest ethical standards. Diversity is mandatory. Our staff reflects the extraordinary diversity of Hawaii's unique cultures and heritage. We continually invest in the training and development of our staff, far beyond norms in our industry.
6. Value. The value of our services to our clients will significantly exceed both our fees and the value offered by any of our competitors.
7. Confidentiality. We regularly receive highly confidential information on a daily basis as part of our normal client relationships. We have established strict policies and procedures to ensure that all such confidential information is released to outside parties only in precise compliance with written instructions from each client.
8. Optimism. Business brokerage is a challenging business. Only 18% of businesses listed for sale nationwide actually sell. 85% of new business brokers quit in their first year. We achieve dramatically better results, in part, by always believing in our clients - and our - success. This optimism permeates our business, and contributes to an extraordinary work environment.
9. Creativity. Creativity is an essential characteristic of all of our people. We aggressively market in creative ways not used by other business brokers (e.g., seminars, webinars, digital videos, email marketing), and employ creative deal structuring and tax strategies to sell businesses others couldn't. VR prides itself on having pioneered many of the practices that have become standard in our industry.
10. Spirit of Aloha. Hawaii is not the mainland. The values of its people and style of doing business are often fundamentally different. We operate with a spirit of Aloha in all that we do. While we compete aggressively for business, we do not disparage our competition and regularly cooperate with them on transactions. We are relentless in striving for the best results for our clients, yet seek win/win results in every deal. Our company and our people contribute to our community, both with our money and our time.
